• 媒体信息：为启用照片/视频编辑和投影功能，本应用会请求访问您设备的相机和照片库。您的原始照片和视频（“源媒体”）默认在您的设备本地进行处理，除非您明确选择使用基于云的功能，否则不会上传到我们的服务器。

Thank you for your interest in Artificial Intelligence and Sensing Technology Institute Co., Ltd. (“Ainstec,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and in the Ainstec Iris mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of your information when you use the App.

By using the Ainstec Iris App, you consent to the privacy practices described in this Policy. This Policy is incorporated into and is subject to the App’s Terms of Use.

1. Information We Collect:We collect information to provide and improve the App’s features, including navigation, media processing, and account services. “Personal Information” refers to data that can identify you or be reasonably linked to you.

• Account Information:When you create an account, you provide your mobile number or email address for registration and multi-device sync. You may optionally provide a nickname, gender, height, and weight to personalize fitness metrics.
• Location Information:To provide real-time cycling navigation, route guidance, and record ride history, we collect your device’s precise GPS location. For navigation while the App is in the background or your screen is off, we will explicitly request your consent for “Background Location”
• Media Information:To enable photo/video editing and projection features, the App requests access to your device’s camera and photo library. Your source photos and videos (“Source Media”) are, by default, processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly choose to use a cloud-based feature.
• Device and Usage Information:We automatically collect technical data such as your device type, operating system, IP address, App crash reports, and information about your interactions with the App’s features (e.g., navigation sessions, feature usage) to ensure functionality, security, and for analytics.
• Hardware Connectivity (Bluetooth and Wi-Fi): To facilitate the connection and data exchange between the App and your Iris Green AR-HUD hardware, we request access to your device’s Bluetooth and Wi-Fi permissions. This information is used exclusively for device discovery, pairing, and the secure transmission of data (such as real-time navigation and media projection content) from your mobile device to the hardware.

2. How We Use the Information We CollectWe use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To operate, provide, and personalize the App’s core features (navigation, media processing, account sync).
• To process your Source Media locally to generate processed outputs (e.g., BMP atlas files).
• To analyze aggregated, anonymized usage trends to improve App performance, stability, and user experience.
• To communicate with you for customer support, service updates, or security alerts.
• To comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK): If you are in the European Economic Area or UK, we process your information based on: (a) Contractual necessity to provide the App’s services; (b) Your consent (e.g., for precise location or media access); (c) Our legitimate interests in improving our services and ensuring security, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights.

3. When We Disclose InformationWe do not sell your Personal Information. We disclose information only as described below:

• Service Providers:We engage trusted third parties to perform services on our behalf, such as cloud storage (for account data), mapping services (e.g., Mapbox API for navigation), and analytics (e.g., Google Firebase for crash reporting). These providers are contractually bound to use your information only to provide their services to us.
• Legal Requirements:We may preserve and disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a court order or lawful request from a government authority.
• Business Transfers:In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
• Protection of Rights:We may disclose information to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users or others, including to prevent fraud or security issues.

4. Your Rights and ChoicesYou have control over your information:

• Device Permissions:You can manage the App’s access to location, camera, and photos through your device’s operating system settings.
• Account Data:You can update optional profile information within the App.
• Access, Deletion, and Portability:You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your Personal Information. You can delete your account and all associated data via Settings > Account > Delete Account within the App.
• Objection and Withdrawal of Consent:Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object. Where based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, affecting future processing.To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@ainstec.cn. We will respond in accordance with applicable law after verifying your identity. Note that certain choices may limit your ability to use all App features.

5. Third-Party ServicesThe App integrates with and links to services provided by third parties (e.g., Mapbox, Google Firebase). Their collection and use of your information are governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies.
6. Children’s PrivacyThe App is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 16. If we become aware of such collection, we will take steps to delete the information promptly.
7. Data SecurityWe implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. This includes encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS). A key privacy feature is the default local processing of your Source Mediaon your device. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. International Transfers of Personal DataYour information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including to our service providers. We ensure such transfers comply with applicable laws. For transfers from the EEA/UK to countries without an adequacy decision, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Retention of Your InformationWe retain your Personal Information only as long as necessary to provide the App, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. Navigation logs and account data are retained while your account is active. You can delete your data at any time via account deletion.
10. Changes and Updates to this Policy:We may update this Policy. The “Last Updated” date at the top will reflect changes. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Your continued use after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

This section supplements the information above for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

• Categories of Personal Information Collected & Disclosed:In the preceding 12 months, we have collected and disclosed for business purposes the categories listed in Sections 1 & 3, including: Identifiers (email/phone number); Geolocation Data (precise location); Commercial Information (App usage); and Inferences (based on usage for personalization).
• No Sale or Sharing for Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising:We do not “sell” or “share” your Personal Information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
• Sensitive Personal Information:We collect precise geolocation. We use this information only to provide the navigation services you request.
• Your California Rights:You have the right to (1) know what Personal Information we collect, use, disclose, and sell/share; (2) request deletion of your Personal Information; (3) correct inaccurate information; and (4) not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
• How to Exercise Your Rights:To exercise your rights to know or delete, please submit a request via email to legal@ainstec.cn. We will verify your request, which may require you to log into your account or provide additional information.
• Authorized Agent:You may use an authorized agent. We require proof of their authorization and may still contact you to verify your identity.
• Do Not Track:Our App does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals from web browsers.
